Tuesday Morning Mass

Well I was stunned at the attendance, I expected it to be a small group, but 8 was a bit short of what I thought participation would be. Actually, at the time Mass started there were only five participants in the chapel; one nun, one brother, two above average age students and me. A few minutes into the Mass three more students joined us. Fr. Valerian talked about church architecture and how the Church is really the people and not the building. His basic point was that since we are the Church, the appearance of the building that we celebrate in is completely unimportant. Now I would beg to differ on the grounds that if the structure is not conducive to worship due to it's distractive architecture, then the architecture does matter.
